Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.
lessons are available in the following areas:
Instruments: Piano, Guitar, Trumpet, Drums, Bass Guitar, Keyboard, Electric Guitar, Classical Guitar, Acoustic Guitar
Most of my lesson plans are customized for each student, depending the style they are interested in, and the level that they are already playing. Generally speaking for beginners, I begin with teaching about the instrument (string names, frets, tuning, etc.). Then we move on to chords, starting with the easiest ones to play. Once they have grasped how the instrument and chords work, we continue on to melodies and simple 3 chord songs. Read More
Instruments: Piano, Guitar, Voice, Trumpet, Trombone, Saxophone, Flute, Clarinet, Bass Guitar, Recorder, Euphonium, French Horn, Tuba, Piccolo, Mallet Percussion, Orchestral Percussion, Oboe, Bassoon, English Horn, Keyboard, Electric Guitar, Djembe, Classical Guitar, Acoustic Guitar
My teaching style includes positive reinforcement, making and achieving small measurable goals that lead to big measurable goals, and teaching and instilling correct daily practice methods. I encourage each student to do their best each day and push through the difficult places. When something is too difficult for a student, I break it down into smaller, more understandable pieces, or change tactics to a different subject or piece. I use many resources and try to differentiate activities to keep students engaged and learning. Read More

My philosophy on how I teach is similar to the technics I learned during my undergraduate studies. I believe in letting the students learn the best way they can and how ever they feel more comfortable learning. With that being said I only want to enhance what they know not make them like me or every one else. Music is a art form as well as a true discipline thus I want to encourage consistency but most of all I want to stress artistry. Read More
Instruments: Trumpet
For beginner students, I recommend Essentials of Band for Trumpet. Once the student has a solid foundation of the fundamentals of music, I introduce them to more intermediate level books such as Flexus, Arbans, and Classical Trumpet playing. No matter the level of any student, I always make sure they understand the parts of the Trumpet. I usually give small mini quizzes, and reward the student with small gifts. I always go at the pace a student can handle. I do try to challenge them but also know that everybody learns differently and at different rates. I am very flexible. I hope to motivate the student to trying their best and put their best efforts! It is very rewarding when a student develops a passion for music! My goals are always to motivate my students to be the best they can. Read More
