I love to introduce young students to the exciting and ever evolving world of music. Performance has enabled me to participate in unforgettable moments, like playing in Davies Symphony Hall, the Berlin Philharmoniker, and various other venues accross the world. I have been teaching brass instruments to students of all ages for over fifteen years now and I love it! I am very fortunate to have studied privately with many great teachers with varied teaching styles and philosophies which has helped me become a well-rounded educator.  I have also had the orpportunity to perform with numerous ensembles throughout the United States and around the world. Ive taught and coached jazz band, concert band, and orchestra youth programs like Stanford Jazz, The Jazzschool, and Golden State Youth Orchestra. The students I work with learn the fundamentals and mechanics of the instrument, the understanding of musical language and theory, how it relates to the world, expression of feelings, thoughts and ideas, and the overall joy and fulfillment of playing music on trombone. I was that child who always wanted to play everyone else's instrument too, so when I grew up I became a music teacher so that I could learn them all.
