Instruments: Piano, Guitar, Voice, Trombone, Keyboard, Electric Guitar, Acoustic Guitar

I began teaching music at a daycare when I was twenty years old (I am currently 24). I taught private piano and guitar lessons on a weekly basis. My youngest student at the time was a year and a half and my oldest student was twelve years old. I learned very quickly that one of the most important things is to inspire a love of music in each student because if you do not enjoy what you are doing you will never want to practice and if you don't want to practice there can be no improvement since forced practice is nothing more than another chore. Instruments: Piano, Trombone, Drums, Synthesizer, Euphonium, Keyboard

My first teaching experiences were with my father during solo and ensemble. Having hired me as an accompanist for his students, I found myself rehearsing these students moreso than accompanying them. From that point I felt encouraged to teach and help others perfect their craft. My biggest influences would have to be my past teachers, one of which taught me younger and the other as I matured. Instruments: Piano, Guitar, Voice, Cello, Trumpet, Trombone, Saxophone, Flute, Bass Guitar, Organ, Synthesizer, Ukulele, Double Bass, Euphonium, French Horn, Tuba, Piccolo, Orchestral Percussion, Music, Keyboard, Electric Guitar, Classical Guitar, Acoustic Guitar

At the very beginning level I would start with fundamentals from whatever book I feel would be best for the student depending on their age and knowledge. Beforehand I definitely will need to asses their knowledge so I can do so accordingly. I however will now focus on solely fundamentals and will try to include in songs that the student would like to learn as long as it is in the bounds of reality, the lessons I provide are only part of the equation and the real work is what is put in after the lesson. Instruments: Trumpet, Trombone, Saxophone, Bass Guitar, Euphonium, Tuba

For beginners, I like to provide a custom packet of mine in which I send to my students to not only assess their current aptitude on the instrument but the packet will serve as a their fundamental guide in order to stay focused on progressing even while learning new and exciting music of their own choosing. Moving forward with Advanced, Intermediate, and Professional level students, I like to provide each level student the same materials and recommend the same books but in terms of personal music goals and solo repertoire, I would tailor the works to that student's progress level and what they plan to accomplish during our time together. Instruments: Trumpet, Trombone, Euphonium, French Horn, Tuba

Since the age of 10 (20 years ago), I have heard the trombone on a regular basis. My brother was serious about playing so naturally I absorbed the sound, and an idea of how to approach the instrument from listening to his lessons and practice. My interest in the trombone has taken me across the country, and the globe, to work with various performers in various contexts. My primary teachers were performers in the legendary low brass sections of the Chicago, NY, LA, San Francisco, symphonies. Read More
