I also believe in exposing students to a blend of traditional and contemporary music, giving them opportunities to explore creativity while developing strong technical fundamentals. My teaching style includes positive reinforcement, making and achieving small measurable goals that lead to big measurable goals, and teaching and instilling correct daily practice methods. I encourage each student to do their best each day and push through the difficult places. When something is too difficult for a student, I break it down into smaller, more understandable pieces, or change tactics to a different subject or piece.
