I am an incredibly spirited and determined musician and educator who takes great joy in sharing music with as many people as I can. I am currently working on a BME from Indiana University, and while I still have a long way to go, I know full well in my ability to demonstrate my talent as a musician and educator. I began teaching back in my sophomore year of high school when one of my friends wanted to learn how to play the piano. I gave them half hour lessons once a week and tailored my teaching to fit what techniques they wanted to learn. After that, I began branching out and teaching other friends, and eventually found myself helping out the middle school bands during my study hall. Now that I am in college, my own playing has improved and I have found new ways to connect and teach students whether that be in person, or by using technology such as skype. Read More

I'm currently the 2nd trombonist with the Fort Wayne Philharmonic, and regular member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago. I've performed with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, Elgin Symphony, Canton Symphony, Quad City Symphony, Rockford Symphony, West Michigan Symphony, and Illinois Symphony Orchestra. While I am demanding of my students, I set high standards only because I am confident in a student's abilities. Although education and teaching was my focus, I excelled in music performance as well.
