Instruments: Piano, Trumpet, Trombone, Euphonium, French Horn, Tuba, Music, Keyboard

In my opinion, my goal for the student is to be motivated, and stay motivated to try to also work at their instrument outside their lessons on their own. I would not want to cram information down their throats, but I also would not want to spend too much time on tasks that would get the student or myself carried away. Instruments: Trombone, Music

My teaching frames music practice as a process of playful experimentation and personal exploration. Based on the concepts of psychologist Carol Dweck, I use teaching language that promotes a growth mindset in my students, a mindset that allows for creative risk-taking and the necessity of learning from mistakes. I try to be tough, but always positive and supportive. I also teach the principles of deliberate practice, which allows students to practice effectively. Read More

Music has been my passion from a very early age. I have learned through my years as an educator that sharing this passion with others is just as rewarding as personal experience or success. I greatly enjoy performing as much as I can myself but helping students achieve their own personal musical goals has become one of the most enjoyable experiences of my life. I look forward to meeting new students and learning about their passions and goals so that I can help them find the most rewarding path possible! Read More
