  My teaching career began in college. I taught trombone lessons and was an instructor for the Hampton University Band Camp. In 2009 I became a graduate assistant at Central Michigan University. I also taught at an elementary school while I was in graduate school. After college I moved to North Carolina and became a band director on the middle school and high school level. My strongest skill is composition and arranging.  My works have been played on the middle school, high school, collegiate, and professional level.  This skill set includes jazz, popular music, classical, gospel, small ensembles, and large ensembles. I was hired by Fletcher Academy, a private boarding academy, to teach concert band class for the high school and the elementary school as well as music classes for other area private grade schools.
