As for my formal education, I received the Bachelor of Music Education degree from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey; and the Master of Music Education degree from The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA, 2010). I hope to instill a joy and passion for music in my students. Through our work on fundamentals and etudes they will learn the skills they need to truly express themselves when they perform. My goal is to motivate the students by modeling great playing for them, and by giving them music that excites them! Read More

My teaching experience began when I was in college. I taught trombone and euphonium private lessons for several years in the school district that I attended when I was a student. Additionally, I also have done All State Masterclasses for the TMEA trombone etudes. Most people don't want to be super competitive, but many are talented to do so. Most people are in music for the overall enjoyment of it, and some realize friendly competition is a win-win. Being super competitive is not for everyone, and I don't blindly encourage it. Read More
