I have an easy-going style of teaching where I focus on the interests of the student first. The reality of learning an instrument is that unless practice is fun and interesting, there will not be enough of it. As such, I make sure to gamify the practice and find concrete ways to measure the progress of the student. I enjoy motivating without fear or guilt. I push students to grow and redefine what they are capable of. I love to see students progress from lesson to lesson. My all time favorite quote in lessons is "in Music nothing is difficult it is just unfamiliar." This means anything can be achieved with practice. Slow, careful, intentional and methodical practice.
