Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

I always vary my teaching methods to accomodate each of my student's needs. However, my lesson format stays fundamentally the same. I always begin with some mouthpiece buzzing, which incorporates ear-training, then move to rhythm exercises, scales and technical studies, method book, and any other music the student is working on at the time. I'm an instrumentalist, producer, and artist who is infatuated with the concept of music. I find great joy in sharing with other's eager to learn about the art form. Primarily I have been a trombonist since a young age, but I also have a reputable amount of knowledge in piano. I'm a passionate and motivated instructor who loves working with students and sharing my love of music. In 2007, I graduated from the University of Central Arkansas with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Piano/Trombone Performance. Performing all over the world has been one of the greater experiences of my life as a musician, and I've had the opportunity to play in Hollywood on American Idol, Hong Kong, Costa Rica, United Kingdom, Bahamas, Puerto Rico with the former lead singer from Journey, and many other places around the United States. I have an easy-going style of teaching where I focus on the interests of the student first. The reality of learning an instrument is that unless practice is fun and interesting, there will not be enough of it. As such, I make sure to gamify the practice and find concrete ways to measure the progress of the student. In the end, I find that building a deep interest and encouraging a passion for music is a sure-fire way for students to grow as musicians while enjoying the journey at the same time. Read More

I enjoy motivating without fear or guilt. I push students to grow and redefine what they are capable of. I love to see students progress from lesson to lesson. My all time favorite quote in lessons is "in Music nothing is difficult it is just unfamiliar." This means anything can be achieved with practice. Slow, careful, intentional and methodical practice. I am particularly interested in Neuroscience and how it can be applied to music. Read More
