I love kids and music and decided to combine the two. Piano lessons from fourth grade through high school furthered my love for instruments. I played flute and piccolo through high school and then graduated with my Bachelors of Instrumental Music Education from Troy in 2005. I have been involved in music as a player since 1966, and have been a featured soloist on both trumpet and clarinet with concert bands around the Southeast. I began playing my secondary instrument (trumpet) in 1970, and have studied conducting with symphony orchestras and concert bands. I have taught band at elementary, middle and high school levels, and was honored with the task of founding the band program at my last school. Read More
