Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.
lessons are available in the following areas:
Instruments: Piano, Voice, Saxophone, Flute, Clarinet
For piano students, I like to use the Alfred courses. This method is great because they have courses of study for all ages and levels, and students can progress through several courses throughout their study. For flute/clarinet students, I like to start with either Hal Leonard's Essential Elements or the Rubank methods books. Once students have moved beyond the basics, I like to introduce solo repertoire that is appropriate for their level. Read More

I custom-tailor my lesson plans for each individual student based on a variety of factors such as prior playing experience (if applicable), student's desired goals and outcomes, student availability, etc. A typical first lesson with me will be spent going over what goals you want to achieve and how I can best serve you in reaching those goals by working with you to develop an effective plan of practice. In addition, I will share the knowledge and expertise I have gathered from my teachers and my own musical career to ensure that you have all of the tools and resources you need to start seeing the results you want. I have worked with over 2,500 students in one-on-one lessons, educational workshops, and outreach concerts. My lessons focus on developing technique, practice strategies, a good sound, aural skills, music theory knowledge, and stylistic fluency. Though I specialize in saxophone, I also love teaching beginning and intermediate piano. ***Lesson Materials*** Saxophone students must have an instrument in good repair and required accessories (reeds, mouthpiece, etc.). Piano students must have access to a tuned piano or an electric keyboard with touch-sensitive, weighted keys. Read More

I have been teaching the saxophone since 2008, to both kids and adults, beginners and advanced players. I always like to incorporate music theory and aural skills into my lessons as I believe those subjects are a must in becoming a well-rounded musician. I do not usually follow a book/method page-to-page but rather adjust the curriculum to each and every student. Each on of my students has different goals and aspiration and it would not be fair to them to force them to follow one book/curriculum. Read More
Instruments: Saxophone
I started teaching in my last year of undergraduate study. By sharing my idea of what I learned from my teacher to my student, I found myself become a better musician and teacher. I encourage my student to listening to different genre of saxophone playing, going to concerts and recitals, because the more the student engaging to the music world, the more they eager to learn. As soon as they start to learn an instrument, it is important to make plans and goals for their future study. Read More
