I like to see my students become proficient sax players but I feel that the job is only complete when they become good musicians. I have been teaching private lessons for over 8 years. Some of my students competed in state solo and ensemble competitions and received Gold and Silver awards. Other students have participated in recitals, music camps, and marching bands. Before I started giving lessons, I volunteered with a community group in Indiana called the Phillips Music Guild of Indianapolis. For the past 5 years or so I have been teaching private saxophone students as well. My experience with saxophone consists of classical pedagogy. In March 2011, I was the guest artist at the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts Spring Jazz Festival in Houston, TX.
