The greatest experience from high school was being accepted to Indiana University's Saxophone Academy, a week long camp in the summer for advanced saxophonist to work with the world renown classical saxophonist Otis Murphy. I have been very successful in college as well, maintaining a 3.8 GPA, participating in many ensembles and contests, and achieving principle positions in the top music groups the university has to offer. Lately while playing and practicing my saxophone, my 4.5 year old daughter has taken an interest in learning to play with me so that has pushed me in a new direction to begin teaching others. This will be my first experience teaching but want to bring the excitement to students that I see in my own daughter.
