My teaching experience dates back to when i was in college, as I began teaching private lessons part time 15 years ago. I would teach to earn extra money when i was in college, as well as accompany other musicians as a side gig. I also have some experience playing piano and singing at a local coffee house from time to time. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize with all my students as it develops the flexibility in the hands and fingers that is needed for the more challenging pieces of music. My teaching experience started 5 years ago. I was a senior in high school and was teaching a beginning student the trombone. Throughout the past 5 years I have continued to teach students when I was able to. I encourage regular practice and maintaining a consistent schedule. I always say 10 minutes a day is better then 30 minutes every 3 days.
