I'm trying to put each student in touch with their inner creative. Everyone learns at a different pace and my approach is to teach something to mastery level rather than fill a quota. Inspiration and the joy of playing is first and foremost with my approach. I was a student leader in the marching band, serving as the woodwind captain for the marching band and the senior student conductor for the concert bands. With these positions, I was able to tutor peers and work on expanding my knowledge of teaching music. I am a music educator and performer from Arkansas. I moved to the area to further my studies at UNC Greensboro. Some of my interests outside of music include cooking, fishing, and playing with my cat. I have been teaching for over 5 years now. I am a very open minded instructor and believe that lessons should be structured around every students' needs.
