Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

I started teaching private clarinet lessons in high school and fell in love with it. After high school, I went to Northern Oklahoma College where I played saxophone and clarinet and was awarded the Outstanding Instrumentalist award two consecutive years. After graduating, I attended Oklahoma City University where I played as 1st chair clarinet in the Wind Philharmonic and Lead Tenor in the Jazz Ensemble. The biggest accomplishment to me is helping students of all ages fall in love with music just like I did as a child. Students do not need to perform infront of others if they truly wish not to, as long as they enjoy what they are doing. It is important that a student continues to progress during their time with me, however this will be at their own pace. Finding out what goals each student has and what inspires them in order to tailor my instruction to each student is critical to the students development in music. Read More

You are going to enjoy music more than you have before after we work together. My focus is you, the student. You will not leave my lesson with your shoulders up around your ears because you are tense from the difficult lesson. You will encounter difficulty, but my style of teaching is to show you that you can do it. For beginning students whose primary goal is membership in a school performance ensemble, I will usually choose a beginning band method that give them a good foundation in fundamental playing techniques. As they gain basic skills at this level, I expand the content of lessons to include easy solo repertoire. For older and adult beginningstudents, I usually use instrumental methods more suited for older learners. In addition, I incorporate easy solo literature for public performance. Read More

Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a love for music! Therefore it's important that every student progresses at his or her own pace. I encourage by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. Acknowledging successes helps fuel a students desire to progress, and makes students eager to learn more.
