With many years experience and training, I have worked with students of all ages and abilities. My students are successful because lessons are challenging but fun, positive and enjoyable. I believe in positive reinforcement, setting goals with the student, regular feedback and encouragement, and helping the student reach their potential. I have worked with young beginners and have studied the different needs of adult beginners. For beginners, they must learn how to play the instrument. So books like standard of excellence or essential elements are great resources. I will guide them through what the book cannot explain and help them truly internalize aspects of playing their instrument. For more advanced players, we will work on tone, advanced technique, new styles as well as history, modern practices and more.
