I am a lifetime musician, dedicated to the authentic exploration of the creative self. I sing, write/compose, produce, play saxophone, piano, guitar, bass guitar, and drums. Music has led me to play all around the U.S., as well as Morocco and France. As a teacher, I focus on what the student wants to achieve. I implement sound technique(s) through an avenue that best suits the student. Not everyone wants to be a concert pianist, or even a performing musician, so our lessons would be tailored to your exact wants and needs. Read More

I also perform concerts and record with Combo Amazo, a band that plays original jazz, blues, bluegrass, and klezmer. We were featured on the several NPR radio shows including E-town with Richie Havens. I lead a strolling duo on clarinet with guitar that played in the Denver International Airport Concert Series for 20 years and is available for any event. I decided to teach because I wanted to share the enthusiasm and joy I have for music with students. I feel passionate about helping develop a child’s talents as a musician. Read More

In music learning, I believe that listening is of utmost importance. One must internalize and interact with the music they hear so that they may develop a concept for what they would like to play. From there, students work with me to allow their musical voice to come through their instrument. Read More

My teaching experience began when I started giving lessons in my freshman year of college 10 years ago. I was part of the school of music's community teaching program, where I taught lessons to mostly children. Since that time I have taught in-home lessons and home studio lessons. When I teach, I try to help students discover their passion for the instrument. I structure lessons in a way that helps students enjoy what they do. Read More
