I believe in individualized learning. So each student will receive their own plan for their progression. Some materials I recommend for students are the rubank book for beginner. It is very important for students to grasp the fundamentals. For intermediate students, we would progress on a track and focus on what they had for goals. When I teach, I emphasis consistent practice along with the enjoyment of the music my students are learning. Ages 5 to 10, I focus more on memorization of skills and hand coordination, over an understanding of theory. Ages 10 to 14, we focus on theory and mastery of skills.
