Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. I try to focus on the students interests as much as possible. Lastly, I use rythym training a lot with all my students. If it's not played in time, It's not music yet. We will work together to get it where it needs to be! I use real drum loops and other media for this. This dramatically increases the students feel for the pulse of the music. The most important thing for me is that each of my students understands their instrument in their own terms, and so each lesson plan I develop is designed around an individual. I highly encourage questions, and interaction. One of my favorite things to do is find out a student's favorite bands/artists, and use those songs as a basis for the lessons.
