I am a father of two young daughters who share my passion for all types of music (so far). I've had many credits on several studio albums ranging from hip hop to country, and most genres in between. I believe that with discipline and perseverance, virtually anything is achievable. I am extremely motivated, very optimistic, and I absolutely love being in leadership roles. I had the opportunity to experience a wide range of styles as a soloist and as a member of many bands and ensembles: Classical, American Folk, mariachi, boleros, tangos--playing in many venues and contrasting scenarios around the U.S.A and foreing countries such as Mxico and Argentina. I believe in shaping a lesson around the student. First, I find out what the student wants to focus on more, whether it is notation and musical theory, or learning a few basic chords, strumming patterns and such, to be able to play their favorite songs. No matter their ability, this method of teaching is effective because I find that it keeps the students interested and engaged. I'm an enthusiastic and driven teacher who loves to help students realize their personal musical goals. In 2012, I graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree in Composition from Trinity University and in 2014, I earned an MFA from the California Institute of the Arts. I've performed a wide variety of music with everyone from orchestras to pop and folk bands throughout my life. My teaching experience began at a young age. I started volunteering lessons for the youth in my church. I played keyboard on the worship team for several years and some youth students showed interest so I would teach them every now and then. In 2017, I started teaching private lessons at a studio in Fort Worth. I really started to enjoy it, and as I kept on teaching for years to come (going on 6 years now), I've just fallen in love with it! Read More
