Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

For beginning students who are children, I typically start with Hal Leonard's Essential Elements. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance. For adults, I try to find out what the student is interested in, and guide my instruction accordingly to keep the lessons engaging and fun, no matter their ability level. I am proficient with electric, acoustic as well as classical guitars. I have studied fingerstyle and enjoy experimenting with different methods of producing sounds on them. I enjoy using Ableton Live as a performance and writing tool. I also dabble in analog synthesis and enjoy playing keys, bass, drums and singing. I take an easy approach to learning with the belief that it should be rewarding to play an instrument and not frustrating. Read More

For beginners I like to have a method books such as Alfreds or Hal Leonards and occasionally supplement with an easy piece to hold their interest. Its important for them to have something to show as soon as possible. As the student advances, the Mickey Baker books are good for the interested jazz student.
