For beggining students, I start with fundamentals, holding the guitar/pick, posture, and then start with some tremolo (up and down) picking patterns, a few basic open chords, a basic scale, and then pick a simple song to learn. As, we progress, I try to evolve with the student, getting more specialized in whatever genre they are leaning towards, all the while teaching songs and helping them to learn what they like. My teaching experience dates back to my college days, as I began teaching private lessons part time. I have been consistently teaching students since 2018. I have a tendency for keeping students for many years and have had students go on to recording their own discs, music schools for college and taking their experience right to the stage for live shows.
