Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

As students grow in ability and age, I engage their interests more so their instruction is more fulfilling. If the student is having a hard time finding interest in the instrument through disciplines, I start them off with various ear training games to get them to make connections between the music inside of them and the guitar or bass as a constructive outlet. This generally creates a foundation that has room for disciplines. My style largely depends on the student and his/her needs and interests. I enjoy using rewards-based encouragement, especially for younger students. The rewards I give are always musical and I usually let the student choose. For example, one of the rewards for consistent practice, learning songs, and listening to recordings is the opportunity to write a parody song. My teaching style includes using multisensory techniques that get the students reading music, listening to music, playing music, and more. I have discovered over many years of teaching that there are many different styles of learning different concepts. What may click for a student in one part of a lesson visually may not click aurally.
