Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. I have been teaching privately since 1989, teaching piano and bass at 15 years old. Thirty years later I have become a multi-instrumentalist playing Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass, Electric Bass, Latin Baby Bass, guitar, piano, synthesizer, keyboard and voice. I have a vast knowledge of classical and modern works and am comfortable transcribing modern compositions for my students. I first understand the interests, inspirations, and goals of my students. From there I tailor a lesson map that we can follow to achieve those goals. This often includes becoming familiar with fundamentals of the fretboard, music knowledge, and warm up and daily practice routines. A great way to learn the instrument is to listen and learn the music that my students love themselves. When teaching children, I typically start out with Suzuki cello repertoire. I am also very serious about teaching physical concepts so that the student is able to express themselves through the instrument I believe that there are certain technical principles that must be communicated and I do my absolute best to make sure that the student understands them.
