My teaching curriculum is customized and starts with Musician's Institute's Core Curriculum and includes the MI Essential Concepts series which contains a no-nonsense approach to fundamental techniques. I'm an enthusiastic and driven teacher who loves to help students realize their personal musical goals. In 2012, I graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree in Composition from Trinity University and in 2014, I earned an MFA from the California Institute of the Arts. I've performed a wide variety of music with everyone from orchestras to pop and folk bands throughout my life. It's very important to me for students grow a passion for music. I celebrate every victory with them, no matter the size. Helping a student grow over time by setting really obtainable goals every week and setting short and long time goals. Constantly finding new ways to help inspire students to grow on their own as well as with me. I was originally an engineering professional but quickly steered my focus to music education because it is my true passion.
