My fourteen years as a strings teacher has included both private lessons and public school settings. Many of his students have gone on to be involved in regional orchestras, Houston Youth Symphony, and university orchestras. From 2007 through 2010 orchestras under my care have earned consistent First Division ratings at UIL competitions, including “Sweepstakes” honors in 2008. The best way to teach is to teach yourself all over again. I love to set realistic goals, while giving them a harder piece to juxtapose their progress. I never pressure them or bog them down with too much. Acknowledging their progress is always a great way to motivate them. Being in the studio and creating songs had me pick up the piano, ukulele, and bass guitar which I then took on as instruments I teach. I have been a self-taught, hobby guitar player for over 20 years. I am heavily influenced by Rock, and Blues guitarists, but I am also a fan of Classical Flamenco guitar. I have been teaching beginner guitar and Music Theory for a little over 1 year. I enjoy teaching beginner and intermediate guitar students of all ages.
