I began teaching privately in 2004 while attending the College of Wooster. I've been teaching privately ever since! As a faculty member at New Mexico State University and San Jacinto College, I taught core music classes such as music theory and ear training. I also have professional performing experience with numerous groups and ensembles. I was part of the school symphony so took students from my class and tutored them on their technique and stamina to play richer, louder, longer tones.  After becoming involved with more children as well as children with special needs through my work in university I began teaching musicality to kids in different settings, which led me to start teaching the piano to beginners.
