I am a passionate and motivated flute instructor who loves working with students and sharing my love for flute. In, 2016 I graduated from Berklee College of Music with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Flute performance. I have had the pleasure to perform as a freelancer in Boston MA, as a session musician playing for film, television, and video games. I am a graduate of Texas Tech University. I began teaching privately in 1985 on the Lubbock ISD Music Tutorial Program. I went into the schools and taught students privately during class hours. I taught Tuba and Baritone Horn. In 1989 I began teaching with Lubbock Parks and Recreation in the community centers. This was more generalized. I taught Band Instruments, Voice, Guitar, Music Theory, Beginner Piano, Beginner Strings. I stated playing the Flute and Violin when I was 9 years old and have been involved in music ever since. I went on to participate in any music class I could take during high school including Concert band, Jazz band, Marching band, Drum-line, and Orchestra. I decided to use pursue a degree in music education to help future students develop their talent for music. I approach teaching with a fun atmosphere, laid back to be comfortable to ask questions, develop passion for music to allow progress and praise to build confidence so students want to try more difficult music to help build that motivation and eagerness to learn. I always like to use my first lesson as a get to know.
