Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. I am a big fan of the Rubank elementary, intermediate, and advance methods. In addition I like incorporate sight reading into lessons due to being a common element in auditions. For high school students the I use Rubank books and supplement that with Rose etudes as they are often use as audition material in KY. However, I always like to start with Hal Leonard's Essential Elements, and I like to take exercises from my own collection that I've accumulated over the years, and determine which exercise is needed based on which aspects of playing a student might need working on.
