As a teacher, there is nothing more rewarding than seeing a student develop a passion for music. If my students do not leave every lesson feeling inspired, encouraged, and wanting to practice and play music, then I am not doing my job. Just as I tailor each lesson to match the individual student, expect the student to grow and develop as a musician at his/her own pace. I'm a 2018 graduate of Temple University's Boyer College of Music, where I earned my Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz Studies: Saxophone Performance. I play the Saxophone, Clarinet, and Piano, and I'm glad to be teaching students all of these instruments. At Temple, I studied under saxophonists Dick Oatts and Ben Schachter. I lead my own Jazz Quartet, and I've performed with groups including the Philadelphia Funk Authority, Temple Avenue Quintet, Tony Gairo's Crosscurrent Big Band, and the Work In Progress Jazz Orchestra. I have been teaching the flute for many years, dating back to my undergraduate college days. I taught several students that were looking to audition at the school I was at and needed additional help. I have also taught at a summer flute day camp in Michigan for 7 years, working with middle school, high school, and adult students. I currently teach beginning through high school flute students in Pendleton.
