For beginning students I like to use a combination of Rubank's Elementery etudes and a privately owned beginner's method book although I am willing to teach from a variety of beginning resources. I take into consideration that each student learns differently and some methods may be more successful than others. I like to start introducing solo repertoire as soon as the basics are down.
