I am a Suzuki and traditional teacher. I encourage public performances as often as possible and will help students identify appropriate opportunities to do so. Students who study with me drive their own education by making choices. You can choose Suzuki or traditional flute lessons. You can choose to focus mainly on classical music, modern music, pop music, or jazz music as suits your tastes. I began playing the saxophone at the same time I took up the piano. I entered my undergraduate program in 1992, majoring in music education with the saxophone and piano as my principle instruments.
