Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Timing is everything with drums. Students will learn the basic beats while learning how to add in appropriate fills to make what they're playing sound whole and professional. For intermediate students I will assess where they are in their playing and style they want to go for. I will then take that and teach them new ways to get to where they want to go. By teaching the student to teach themselves, I try and allow them to explore music and their own creativity as independently as possible. I emphasize the need to express oneself, as well as the need for introspection. The practice of music is a microcosm of life, and I try and instill that sense in each student.
