I am a musician with 16 years plus of music experience. My main instrument is guitar but I have learned many other instruments over the years such as piano, bass guitar, banjo, and drums. I learned to read music in high school band as an auxiliary percussionist (playing bells, xylophone, and various percussion instruments) as well as singing in the choir. My teaching experience started 7yrs ago doing part time lessons at church. I started teaching members of the church as well as musicians who wanted to learn certain songs. During those times of lessons, I encouraged each student to consistently practice at least 30min a day. I also tried to relate each lesson to a song of their choice to show them certain ways to apply basic theory. I'm determined to make each lesson a memorable experience that the student will have fun and be able to go home with excitement. Read More
