Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

Having taken lessons on several instruments and being self-taught on others I understand that the most important thing a teacher can instill in their student is 1) the basic knowledge to understand the instrument, and 2) the passion to discover and teach themselves. Music is fun. The only reason to start learning an instrument is so you can have fun while learning, because you never stop learning. I will use a lot of practical examples so the student can see the principles we are learning and practicing being used in a live situation, i.e. other professional musician performances on video and/or audio. My teaching experience goes back 12 years ago when I began teaching private lessons from my own private home studio. During my high school days, I also served as a student teacher for local summer band camps as a percussion and drum set instructor. One of the most important things I strive for is to have my students keep a consistent practice schedule and have fun playing the drums so that they can maintain interest in learning more music styles and be prepared for various musical occasions.
