Not everyone will become a professional music or composer. My experience gives me the insight to offer the tools you need, for your music learning experience. As a "drumset" "percussion" teacher. Music in the school system is taught backwards. If you're a beginner, you were put in a beginning class. this makes it very difficult for students to advance quickly because they aren't playing music with people who are more advanced than them. My method of teaching can vary from student to student, but my primary way of teaching is what I like to call, sound before symbol. Learning music is like learning a language. If you want to remain "goal-free" (for example, because you used to have some forceful teacher, punishing you for your "lack of dedication" or the like), I have a blast simply looking into facets of music with a curious student.
