Matthew is a passionate and motivated instructor who loves working with students and sharing his love for Percussion. Being a Drummer since the age of 4, Matthew has been drumming for 21 years. Beginning in 2005 Matthew began his classical training as a Symphonic Percussionist. Every Percussion Instrument was honed from Concert Snare Drum to Mallet Percussion, (Marimbas, Vibraphones, Xylophones, etc.). In 2008 Matthew started Drum Corp with the Marching Snare Drum. Many self taught drummers learn bad habits which become very difficult to break as they get older. We will break these habits if needed. For the beginner, we will spend the first two or three lessons working on proper grip and motion. Once that is mastered, we will use the Maroni book and use the first page of Stick Control. I would like to supplement that with a John Wooton play along book which takes the boredom out of Stick Control. Read More

I am a Classical trained Pianist with 14 years British Classical training in Piano, that got involved in performing modern day music. As a result I understand playing on stage as well as doing music studio work. I have performed and toured professionally around the world playing keyboard, percussion and guitar. I played trumpet in high school and college in the church band and the Temple University performance band. I know that I have the ability to teach and get my students from beginner stage to advance.
