I am a passionate Christian and motivated drum instructor who loves working with students and sharing my love of music. Since 2007 I've been apart of The Salvation Army Indiana Divisional Band. Since 2011 I have the pleasure of working as a freelance drummer. I also had the joy of working as a drum teacher at Cornerstone Center for the Arts (Muncie, IN). I am an avid music lover, performer, and teacher. I was lucky to study piano from a young age and have the amazing pre-collegiate experiences of appearing on MTV's Made and opening for the likes of McCoy Tyner, Chick Corea, and Bela Fleck. I then received a scholarship to Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA where I studied saxophone performance as well as piano, songwriting, and audio production. I teach all levels from Beginner through Advanced. I often, with beginners, make sure we learn the fundamentals. This gives them a firm foundation, so when we move on, we are not forced to go back to the beginning. I believe the key to being an advanced drummer is the concept of foot-hand independence.
