I have a few different methods depending on a students interests.  A majority of my current students study concert and/or marching percussion with me. With either of these styles, I like to start by developing their sense of timing, reading, and technique. For this, I use a combination of the Mitchell Peters books in addition to packets that I've developed over the past 10 years.
