Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. I teach out of a few method books when it comes to percussion. Vocals is more of a discovery process while utilizing some neat exercises to build vocal chord strength. With a drummers they can learn multiple ways to do the same application, while a vocal student only has their one voice to work with. I always teach fundamentals, and will focus a lot on it depending on the students needs, to help them achieve a goal they have set out to achieve. Read More

No matter what skill level, the fundamentals are always the same: practice, patience, and practice some more. But the key is patience. For beginner students, patience will be vital for overcoming the independence element of controlling both hands and feet. For intermediate students, patience will be needed to advance their technique with practicing rudiments. And for the advanced students, patience through repetition is crucial to fully unlock their potential. I will teach them to combine previous techniques while mastering syncopation. Read More

It is of paramount importance to me that I impart my experiential and theoretical knowledge of all things music unto the student in a personally tailored fashion which emphasizes the knowledge necessary for each individual student to identify and achieve their musical goals. I have the ability to identify the students interests and base my curriculum around their needs and desires as a musical being. I believe that knowledge not applied or bestowed unto another is wasted and that the most important thing about bettering yourself in any regard is to be able to pass that knowledge on to others so that they may add to the whole of the collective of, in this case, musical expression. I have a 30+ year career as a professional drummer , proficient all genres. I have professional experience in show music , big band , contemporary , most of my professional experience is rock,blues and jazz. In 1980 I graduated from the University of Miami School of Music. I have extensive experience as a private and classroom music teacher. I am certified as a K -12 music teacher in the State of Florida.
