Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. I am strongly influenced by Latin American culture and that is why I have been learning all the traditional music from severals countries. I had played in numerous ensembles including: Cambamberos Colombian music ensemble (Brazil),Orquestra de Berimbaus Paraguassu (Brazil), Tambora female South American music (Brazil), Trio Acstico de las Americas (Brazil), Chacombo Afro-peruvian ensemble (LA), CalArts Salsa Band (LA). I had also played in several drumming ensembles, performing mostly in parades and shows including: Bloco Ilu Oba de Min (Brazil), CalArts Brazilian Drumming Ensemble (Los Angeles), Comparsa Medio Mundo Afro-Uruguayan tradicional drumming ensemble (Brazil), CalArts Brazilian Drumming Ensemble (LA), CalArts World Percussion ensemble (LA) One of my biggest passions is to perform in theater and circus productions. My teaching style is supportive. I like to help teach a student how to practice as well as how to play. My fondest memories as a student were those where I was learning and listening to music with my teacher. Watching them react and feel the beats is an incredibly informative part of the learning experience. I began my classical training at the age of nine and continued my studies in jazz and world music with a focus on percussion and vibraphone. I have toured and recorded in the US and Europe with many artists in various musical styles. I graduated from Hunter College in New York City with a degree in music. I've been teaching music in Los Angeles for 7 years! Upon arriving, I began studying guitar and everything else music at Musicians Institute in Hollywood California. It's here that I studied with a few jazz aficionados, perfected blues technique, studied chord theory and all inner workings of a song and it's structure, and more! My musical background and experience started my early years. My family and I sang together, in church, in school, and in shows and special events. I began studying singing and song leading with my father at age six, piano with my mother at age seven, and guitar with my cousin at age thirteen.
