Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

My teaching style is taught with expectations. Although I aim to move at the student's learning pace, it is important to hold accountability on the student's behalf when we're not instruction. Consistent practice will be necessary for growth and I like to check in with students 2 days before next lessons to ensure the material has been understood and reviewed. From this point we can ensure progress. I'm relatively new to the teaching life, but I love it regardless. I started in September of 2018 with one student who I taught throughout the semester, and seeing him grow throughout the months was satisfying unlike anything else I've experienced. I taught one student a semester due to my school commitments but still managed to teach them a lot and open their eyes to the world of music. The method book I use often depends on the level of the student and what we are specifically working on, especially when it comes to percussion. In lessons, I typically use a book and then supplement it with other exercises or music. A former teacher of mine taught me how to create exercises for whatever I was struggling with when I was in 8th grade. To this day that is still a prevalent method I use because it utilizes the student's creativity and allows them to take ownership of their learning. Read More
