For both Clarinet and Saxophone I like to start in the Rubank Elementary method. As the student progresses, I often will add two books, Learn to Play Duets and also Fun for the Clarinet/Saxophone. The last one are two separate books, but one for each instrument. I usually prescribe adults the same books to start.
