Learning isn't a photocopy process which means a lot of the learning process is a responsibility of the student. I view my job as a teacher is to 1) make sure the student isn't getting overwhelmed, 2) hold the student accountable for their learning, and 3) guiding students through experiences that will facilitate their learning. My love for teaching started around my sophomore year of high school. I used to be in marching band and I would always offer to help the people in my section with the music and find easier ways to play certain passages. Music has always been a joy in my life and I want to help students find that joy for themselves.
