Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

My teaching clarinet began when I was in high school, giving lessons to 18+-students after school and on Saturdays. Later, in college, I continued to teach on the weekends, helping to cover additional expenses. Then, in the national guard band, I taught private lessons to several of my fellow clarinetists. After about a two year "sabbatical" I really missed teaching. I then began acquiring new students through the Methodist church I attend. Read More

I have taught clarinet and trumpet lessons since 1977. I have taught saxophone, french horn and trombone since 1979. I have had two students make first chair in All-State competition, and many Solo and Ensemble Award winners. I have been playing clarinet since 1993.I began in middle school, then high school, then college and now in the Mobile Pops. Once I picked up the Clarinet I never put it down. I have played the music at a local theater for Camelot the musical. I am asked to play at various local churches. I like to start where the student is. For my youngest students, we begin with the basics of counting and the music alphabet. For older students and adults, I assess prior knowledge and go from there. i like to have the students help me create up to three goals for the semester or year so that we can have something specific to aim for and measure.
