Haeyoon's lesson style is adhered to each students' needs, not following just one single formula for all. She recognizes the needs that each individual may have and works with each student and, if needed, their parents, to provide the best experience and enhancement in learning as possible. She incorporates all aspects of music (performance, melodic and harmonic importance, rhythm, etc.) to provide a complete musical education while making the lessons enjoyable and understandable. I have taught at the college level as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Washington where I taught undergraduate non-majors and string technique classes. I have also held a position as a professor at Edmonds Community College. I love teaching young cellists and was a teacher for several years with Seattle Music Partners, a free after-school music program for elementary and middle school string students. Read More

This inhibits the student's natural potential for growth and fails to teach the student comprehensive musicianship. Read More

I feel each of my students are unique. I love watching my students' level of musical understanding progress. I love seeing the dedication and determination begin to heighten as the lessons progress. Within each lesson I point out areas that need to be worked on as well as areas of improvement. Seeing one's progress is the most important element to me for my students. Therefore, I like to record my students quarterly for a few minutes within a lesson to show the mass amounts of improvement they will accomplish. Read More
