I am a positive, patient and constructive teacher. I give my students 100% of my attention during their lessons. I work with students to develop correct posture and positions, strong technique, ability to read music, include music theory and music history as appropriate and work with students to play with musicality and develop their own passion for music. I work with students at their own pace and where the students are at. Read More

I am a very passionate teacher, and I thrive on my student's progress. While very demanding, I do not strip the lessons from fun. I like to teach broadly, which means we may talk not only about a cello but also about music in general. I will be here to help you on your learning journey even outside the designated lesson time. I expect you to do work outside of your lesson, to ensure progress. Read More
Instruments: Piano, Voice, Violin, Cello, Viola, Electric Violin, Keyboard
I primarily use the Essential Elements String Method or Piano Adventures books to start beginners on violin, viola, cello, and piano, with a focus on note reading and scales, as well as playing by ear. If you have started on a different method book, I am happy to keep you on track with your progress. I am classically trained, but as you can see, I enjoy playing classical, musical theatre, post-modern, and rock 'n' roll, so I encourage learning the basics and quickly incorporating the music YOU want to play, as you develop your technique.
