For beginning students I like to focus attention on fundamental technique on both hands, making sure that they use the correct finger positioning on the bass. As they advance, the student will begin to know the whole fretboard through scales and arpeggios (in all keys) so the student knows where all the notes are in the instrument. After they acquired the basic & fundamental Knowledge and skills in an entertaining way then I move on to teach them the first lesson of the Melbay method the student learns the first note on the first three strings of the guitar.
