I'm an enthusiastic and driven teacher who loves to help students realize their personal musical goals. In 2012, I graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree in Composition from Trinity University and in 2014, I earned an MFA from the California Institute of the Arts. I've performed a wide variety of music with everyone from orchestras to pop and folk bands throughout my life. For my drum students I start with the well- renown "Stick Control" by George Lawrence Stone because of it's ease of learning and incredible versatility to a percussionist. For Bass and keyboard instruments I begin by getting the student playing music the first day and then gradually introduce them to the musical notation, scales, chords, and arpeggios that take musicians to the next level. For these students I write excercises on manuscript paper to teach the value in learning to write and read music. Read More

I began "shadowing" other teachers that I knew who founded The Music Bus Rocks, a local business that focuses on teaching young musicians-to-be, and I immediately became hooked with the process of teaching something that I loved.
